The developing situation quickly drew national attention after reports confirmed a series of shootings across South and East Austin that left several people injured and forced emergency alerts across affected neighborhoods. Police initially confirmed that at least two teenage suspects had been taken into custody while officers continued hunting for a third suspect believed to have fled into the Manor area outside Austin.
Authorities later announced that all three suspects were eventually detained following an extensive manhunt involving Austin Police, Manor Police, and additional law enforcement agencies.
